Preface

The shooting star is a streak of blue,

A form, a trace, a passing through––

Across the sphere it gracefully glides

Aloft with Fortune coincides.

Willfully it goes on and on,

Arriving at a horizon

That place ain’t for you and me,

As we belong to somewhere else––

To that which imbues our body:

Water, the silk-like element

That wets our breath with equity.

We are inside of it. With romantic motions infinite circles are drawn. Their intersections become forests, nights, and a winding road.

 

Concepts

We can rest in no place; therefore we create one. Away from somber concrete structures, we describe an imaginary lodging, which has no gravity and is constantly in flow. The element of water being its agent of “ventilation,” it allows the crossing of boundaries and carefree promenades. Therein the lodgers can freely stroll and roll. At the same time being surrounded by the waves, they can stretch their body to infinity. In dappling in the waves they embrace the water and get embraced in return. The exhibition space transforms the objects into ships, Atlantean relics, or an island, all sunken in the Deep. The rising ceilings endow the space with a scope for experiencing the ebb and flow.

作品簡介

《核 Nucleus》的錄像中,試著描述一種想像的棲地狀態,它好似沒有重力,有著漂浮的流動感。我們不存在於灰頭土臉的灰色建築物之中,浪漫地掏出這個不明的氣息,落實想像,純粹只是為了這個慾望。展場選擇在大素描教室,組織拼貼各種教室物件,如桌子、畫板、箱子、鏡子、椅子、畫架等,不規則且相互交錯成為兩個投影平台,像是兩個巨大的遺跡、兩座小島,靜靜地沉在海底相互照應,影像投影在上方呈現破碎的浮動狀態。

 

創作理念

在國家社會的體制下,人類的行為與情緒表現受社會觀感約束,沒有一個地方可以讓我們的精神直接坦露,於是我們渴望創造一個舒適自在的意象。

背離灰頭土臉的灰色建築物,描述一個想像的棲地,它沒有重力,漂浮而流動,浪漫地掏出這個氣息,以水召喚,水中的身體沒有邊界,可以自在地行走翻滾。受水包覆的同時,皮膚與四肢無限擴展,擾動水的過程,擁抱水並被水擁抱。展場中,物件們成為一艘船,一個遺跡,一座小島,靜靜地沉在海底。挑高的空間內,我們隨之沈浮。
